چکیده

The study assessed the vulnerability of habitats and species to climate change in Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve (NR), Vietnam. assessment tools for habitat were developed by International Union Conservation (IUCN). Community members, NR managers experts fields environment, economic rural development involved this study. results showed that saltwater intrusion inundation could cause serious threats (i.e., open water, Lung, agricultural Melaleuca habitats) freshwater species. combined impacts drought high temperature potentially increase forest fires decrease quantity quality water habitats. have a baseline conservation status, which are more vulnerable than Conversely, at low but vulnerable. In addition, proliferation invasive alien species, encroachment on cultivation, degradation also great NR. Key including cajuputi, Elaeocarpus hygrophilus, Chitala ornate, Channa micropeltes, threat change. However, C. ornate micropeltes seriously endangered seawater intrusion, poor quality. findings can provide essential information formulate management plans protection

Climate change vulnerability assessment in Georgia

Climate change is occurring in the Southeastern United States, and one manifestation is changes in frequency and intensity of extreme events. A vulnerability assessment is performed in the state of Georgia (United States) at the county level from 1975 to 2012 in decadal increments. Climate change vulnerability is typically measured as a function of exposure to physical phenomena (e.g., droughts...

Climate change vulnerability for species-Assessing the assessments.

Climate change vulnerability assessments are commonly used to identify species at risk from global climate change, but the wide range of methodologies available makes it difficult for end users, such as conservation practitioners or policymakers, to decide which method to use as a basis for decision-making. In this study, we evaluate whether different assessments consistently assign species to ...

Population dynamics, delta vulnerability and environmental change: comparison of the Mekong, Ganges–Brahmaputra and Amazon delta regions

Tropical delta regions are at risk of multiple threats including relative sea level rise and human alterations, making them more and more vulnerable to extreme floods, storms, surges, salinity intrusion, and other hazards which could also increase in magnitude and frequency with a changing climate. Given the environmental vulnerability of tropical deltas, understanding the interlinkages between...
